Preparation:
- 1 1/2 lbs. extra lean ground veal
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin (careful)
- 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 (7 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes
- 2/3 c. canned tomato puree
Brown meat in pan using non-caloric spray. Drain off all fat, add onion and cook. Add garlic powder, oregano, pepper, cumin (careful), chili powder, salt, tomatoes and tomato puree. Bring to a boil; stir well. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour.
